Requirements
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal assessments for patients.
Conduct patient evaluations, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
Assist in chairside procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to infection control protocols.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in both pediatric and general dentistry settings.
Review medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize medical imaging technology as needed for diagnostic purposes.
Experience
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft or Dentrix software is advantageous.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, along with experience in chairside assisting.
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and dental terminology is essential.
Experience in documentation review, medical coding, and aseptic technique will be beneficial.
