About the role
We’re seeking a formally trained/certified Dental Assistant to join our friendly, experienced team. This position is primarily in our Pediatric Dentistry department, supporting pediatric hygiene appointments by taking X-rays, polishing, flossing, and applying fluoride and sealants and writing the chart note. 1-2 days per week you’ll also float to support all departments by taking X-rays, assisting with sterilization, and turning over rooms.
Schedule: Full-time 4 days/week (part-time also considered)

Key responsibilities
- Welcome and escort patients from the waiting room to the clinical area
- Prepare patients for treatments or hygiene ensuring their comfort
- Polish, floss and apply fluoride for pediatric hygiene patients. Apply sealants (as applicable)
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements
- Formally-trained or Certified Dental Assistant certification required (as indicated on your dental license)
- Dental assistant experience preferred, but new grads are welcome and encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of dental instruments, chairside assisting, and sterilization/infection control
- Understanding of OSHA/HIPAA and safety regulations
- Able to perform permitted tasks, namely coronal polishing and applying sealants
- Strong computer skills; Eaglesoft experience is a plus
- Friendly, professional communication and strong customer service
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
- Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
- Pediatric experience or interest in working with children preferred
